My mom was visiting recently and throughout our mother-daughter shopping time I discovered something interesting. Almost all of the merchants I made a purchase at asked me if I'd want to get on the email list. That's very wise.
But, the WAY in which they did this made a big difference in my response. If you know anything, you will probably claim to study about bioresonantie behandeling. I said NO to the majority of them because they simply didn't make it tempting for me. I am talking about, who WANTS more spam? Therefore if you simply ask me if I had want to be on your email list, the solution will often be NO.
But one store particularly got me. First of all, it was a designer clothing store I loved. Secondly, they did not ask me if I wanted to be on the email list. They asked me to become a 'VIP Client.'
Say the words 'VIP' in my experience and my ears perk up. It obviously means 'very important person.' And generally it suggests an amount of reputation and advantage. Suddenly I WANTED to be on that mailing list, particularly when the salesman told me it included specific benefits, such as early notice on new arrivals, your own buying service, and private trunk shows.
And do you know what? I would have also paid to participate that - to be seen as a VIP.
You see, people DESIRE to be part of something specific like ezine promotion. The example above was free. But do not underestimate how much your clients or clients will PAY to do that, either.
Example: A buddy of mine recently discussed he pays $15,000.00 a year to belong to the President's Club of the local playhouse, though he and his wife could attend each show there for just $150.00. Why would even a devoted attendee wish to spend 100 times more? Yet another friend of mine pays for membership at a private nightclub in La through to Sunset Blvd. For most of the exact same reasons (but moreso, in my opinion, because it impresses his days ; ).

I share this to not impress you, but to impress upon you that in YOUR market (yes, *yours*) there IS a portion of folks who will gladly spend MORE - much more - for a greater level of support or treatment. Remember, you are not trying to please EVERYONE, just-the select few who can afford that degree of service.
So now, take a moment or two and consider tips on how to start your own personal 'country club' for your clients and customers. Whether it's a VIP degree of support or a private client group that meets a few times a year.
To really get your wheels turning, imagine this... That's an additional $100,000.00 this year for YOU, if you can get 10 people to commit to some form of program that's just $10,000.00 a year!.
